A Life Poured Out
What does it really mean to live a life that matters? That question cuts right to the heart of what we explore in this message drawn from Acts 20, where we walk alongside Paul as he wraps up his third missionary journey and delivers a deeply personal farewell to the Ephesian elders. The central tension is one we all feel: we want our lives to count for something, but a meaningful life requires surrender, and surrender always costs us something. Paul models what it looks like to pour yourself out completely, not for fame or recognition, but for Jesus and for others. We see how he moved toward people with both presence and truth, two ingredients that together form genuine encouragement. Real encouragement is not just cheerleading. It is instilling courage in others by pointing them back to the faithfulness of God. The message challenges us to ask hard questions about how we are actually spending our time and energy, and whether the things consuming us today will matter when we are gone. A life poured out for Jesus, we discover, is never wasted.
