Luke 18:35-19:10

Two encounters in Luke 18-19 reveal Jesus' heart for desperate people. A blind beggar cried out from the roadside, recognizing Jesus as the Son of David despite the crowd's attempts to silence him. Jesus stopped and healed him, leading to immediate worship and following. Meanwhile, Zacchaeus, a wealthy tax collector, climbed a tree to see Jesus and joyfully welcomed Him into his home. This encounter transformed his priorities completely, leading him to give away his wealth and make restitution. Both men teach us that Jesus stops for those who recognize their desperate need for Him, regardless of their social status or circumstances.
