Luke 15:1-32

Jesus told three parables in Luke 15 about lost things to reveal God's heart for pursuing those who are lost. The lost sheep shows how God values each individual, leaving the ninety-nine to find the one. The lost coin demonstrates our immeasurable worth to God, who searches diligently until we are found. The prodigal son illustrates both the younger brother who squanders his inheritance and comes home to a celebrating father, and the older brother who represents self-righteousness. These stories teach us that God actively seeks the lost, celebrates when they return, and warns against becoming judgmental toward others.
